Bumps and Bruises

Just when I thought that had Reagan under control and she was maintainable she learned to climb. Climbing is great if you are a monkey or some other climbing animal. For a child, on the other hand, not so great. I know it is something that we all go through hopefully when we were a child. We do to learn things. Last week she managed to figure out how to climb on the kitchen chairs. From there is it all down hill. Then comes the piano bench, the table, and finally and I hope finally the piano. I have a nativity set up on top and she could see the lambs and was determined to get to them and she did. She managed to climb high enough to grab the lamb and pound it on the piano yelling "BAAA!"

Along with those new climbing skills comes the falling skills, something which she also mastered last week. Hopefully she will master the gracefully landing skills next week. Wishful thinking. She continues to amaze me. I taught her to say "ho ho ho" just for Christmas. It is cute. Today she finished her milk and came running to me saying "more mom". I am just happy that she didn't say now! I am sure that will come soon too.

Being it Christmas time, I have tried to enjoy the smells and sights and slick road if you can enjoy those. I have to say it has been harder this year than most. But more importantly I think about the reason we celebrate the season and it makes me more grateful than ever to have such a great family. So to all or anyone who reads, have a merry Christmas and A great new year!

Life as we know it

Hi,

I am a stay at home mom, bookkeeper, housecleaner, cook, childcare provider, business owner, and gosh this list could really go on for a while but that is life as we know it anyway. I have 1 daughter name Reagan. It is fun to be home and try to create peace among the chaos here, however sometimes I feel there is more chaos than peace created. I do my ultimate best and break for a show every now and again. It is my nap aka watching reruns of Friends or Rachael Ray.

As my daughter sleeps, I try to get in time for my business that I run from home. It is an online business where I have websites. It is actually really good. It gets me away mentally from the tornado that struck somewhere between the kitchen and the office. Most of the damaged happened closer to the office though. Working for the 2-3 hours during naptime each day gives me the feel that I am learning something more than the best wipe technique. I am learning how I can make some extra money at home to supplement our income for now eventually it will take over our income. It is not silly at all either. I can see the skepticism in most people's faces thinking, " stay at home mom thinking she can do it all and make money from something other than parties such as Mary Kay or Pampered Chef, who does she think she is". Well, you wait because soon the skepticism won't be on your face anymore and you will be thinking " Can I do something like that, I want to have a little piece of knowledge of the outside world". It keeps me busy. There are days when I work more than the 2-3 hours and days when I can't seem to get in the 2-3 seconds.

Today, actually is an okay day. I have been able to work on it for a couple of hours after dragging my daughter for the 4th time this week to Payless to get her some shoes. I didn't think buying shoes can possibly be that difficult. Well, it turns out I can't get the right size the 1st time, the 2nd time to see what other options I have, the 3rd time to return them and get told another had the size I wanted, they didn't but the goose chase they sent me on I am sure the employees got a good laugh and the 4th and hopefully final time to purchase the same shoes again. Motherhood is a wonderful thing isn't it.

Gosh, soon I am going to have to think about what to have for dinner and then cleanup. It just never ends. Sometimes I think I am ahead on everything only to find out I have missed something completely.

Life, though as we know it, is always fun, exciting, and never fails to amuse us with life entertaining facts of everyday life.
